It was anti bullying week the other week, I got asked by Mid Kent College (I work in the library there) to create these life size cut outs of upset teenagers. This is 'em.

They were later displayed in the pavillion where students stuck messages and stuff to them.

I actually only found one of these myself, the others were found by others and given to me. See that one in the top left, I received that in the post from a friend in 2006 (I think she found it in Norwich). It was accompanied by a note which read "One day that boy will run the country", I hope she's right, I'd like to see that.

This is what I've been doing on my day off.

When I was in foundation year 'Friendster' was all the rage. I remember we stumbled across this bloke who lived in my home town. He had a few photos of himself up, some clothed some unclothed and all taken by himself with the camera on timer (you could just tell.) For some reason I was thinking about this the other day which lead to me making these. I'm weirder than he is aren't I.

Like most things the future scares me, it has since I was a child and that is why I have never got very good at using computers. I have attempted building a website from scratch in the past, but I sweated a lot, got a headache and failed (often I would really need the toilet during the whole process). I fancied a couple of laughs this morning so I picked up a Groucho Marx book which I read last year, I found this scrap of paper inside.

I have completed a few new strips over the last couple of weeks, I'll post some panels here soon...Oh yeah, I have decided to print up some copies of a book I made a couple of years back called Ed Bennett. Ed Bennett was part of an installation I made for my degree show,.. ummm basically I found this blokes ID card (I've lost it now) and tried to find out as much info on him as possible. I found out bits and bobs but in the end just ended using his name and face for a character in the book, which was placed in a recreation of his front room(part of it anyway).
This is him.

This is the book, which was french folded, within the folds were hidden images which were clues for later parts of the story. The cover was beaten up and covered in beer and tea stains.

Unfortunately this book went missing along with some other work of mine. Shame.

These are from some shitty one page strip I done a couple of weeks ago, maybe it'll go in Paunch 5... see that vertical line in the top panel, that's my favourite thing about my work (it appears a lot), I shrink my work on the copiers at staples, hopefully they don't clean the rollers or whatever.

Recently I have been drawing a strip about my friends and me at atp, in 2003, when we were teenagers. It's fun when your a teen, drawing about myself now is boring.

Now if you read the first part you will know that music appears in this story. I have wanted to do a soundtrack to accompany a comic for a while but til now have avoided doing so. Sometimes(but not all the time) when music/gigs feature in comics it appears cheesey and makes me cringe and feel embarrassed, this why I haven't carried through the soundtrack idea yet. But then I thought well, most things I do or have ever done make me cringe and feel embarrassed so it won't hurt to add to the list.

When I started this comic the idea was to make a spotify playlist to go with it. I'm not sure when to post the link... I think I'll wait til we are further into the story, cos nothing has really happened yet. I am looking forward to drawing the next part of this, it'll mainly be focusing on that creepy chap that has popped up a couple of times. He is disgusting. So if you've found it boring so far hopefully you'll like the next bit...

I'll start by saying this isn't no look at this funny thing from the 80s post, I've put these up because the other day we were talking about them.. "you know, the cameo videos, the two parter". Somebody mentioned that they hadn't seen them in years, since we first saw them infact. So I thought I'd surprise them and you!

One evening when I was about seventeen or so (I always talk about when I was younger, sorry) there was a few of us hanging out round mine looking for something to watch. I didn't really have any good films we hadn't already seen so I picked up a video from my dads colection. Guess what it was.. a Cameo video. We stuck it in thinking 'this'll be funny, it's that guy from VH1 with the cod piece'. But then we were blown away. The video was excellent. These two were probably the highlights, from what I remember (I don't know where the video is now). Larry Blackmon is a genius, if it wasn't for him I probably wouldn't be making comics today, well, I would but erm.. hope you enjoy.

Also sorry for using brackets all the time and let me know if I sound like an idiot, because you know when you read what some people have written and they are trying to be funny but end up sounding like an idiot, I hope I'm not one of them (I probably am now). Not that I'm trying to be funny.

It's my turn to make a mix for the pub quiz cd swap. I haven't made a mix in a while (well, since christmas..but that was 7months ago. shit.), it's difficult fitting what you want on. Mind you it's a lot easier then creating mix tapes... I do prefer mix tapes though, I miss them! You can put vinyl on a mix tape, you can't on a mix cd (unless you own one of those turntable computer gadgets).

Back when I was a teen my friends and me were constantly making mix tapes. My friday routine was: get out of school, drink some whitey(if poor) or stoop bottles*(if not so poor), smoke some weed, go to the pub, give a mix tape to someone, recieve a mix tape from someone, go to the indie club, drop, act foolish, then off somewhere else usually a park or the statue or fort pitt school.. occasionally we ended up at this house in gillingham. The guy that lived there had a strobe light in his room, he would just have it on constantly until some one told him to "turn that fucking strobe light off!". Some dark dark things happened in that room.. What was I talking about again.. oh yeah that compilation, yeah here is a sample of what going to be on it... full track listing and artwork will be up on Sunday if your at all interested.
